Ref: SFC impose new requirements on FRR calculation which require past MARKET DATA
This letter is to remind you that the new FRR requirement will be effective from
October 2002 and it requires your company to do two things:-
1. Update your BACK OFFICE SYSTEM to be able to calculate required data
2. Obtain MARKET DATA for calculation in item 1 above
POP system is ready for this change, and you can download system program from POP website
http://www.popsoft.com.hk FREE OF CHARGE
Since the calculation require MARKET DATA of previous 6 months excluding the one immediately
before the current month. i.e. You need at lease 7 months data for this calculation.
Since POP can not distribute this data to your company due to the copyright law. You
have to obtain these information by yourself. However, you still need to read all data
and select useful data from there. It is almost impossible for non-technical person. Too much
information to select from.
POP has established a data retrieval method to read MARKET DATA provided by HKEX. If you
order HKEX data via POP (to ensure that all data are legally obtained), POP will proocess
these information into a single data file, and you can upload to the BACK OFFICE SYSTEM,
and read report immediately.
POP will charge your company $600/month to be paid annually for this job.
To ensure that you did not miss our service, I write this letter to you to your attention.
Please take action now, to get familier with the new rule and how to use POP SYSTEM for this
purpose. You need to test the system in August 2002, and September 2002, so that you are
confident to submit FRR in October.
